New Mathematics Certification Area

The NES Mathematics (Middle Grades and Early Secondary) test is available for candidates seeking certification to teach in the areas of Algebra I, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, General Mathematics, and Foundational Mathematics in grades 6–12.

As a result of this new test, there are now three approved Mathematics areas for certification. The table below depicts each of these certification areas, what each certification area allows educators to teach, and the approved test for certification in each area.
